No Paul McCartney unfortunately, but some of the other acts are the epitome of excellence.
Here they are, your Big Day Out lineup for 2010!
plus, Groove Armada, Grinspoon, The Mars Volta, Ladyhawke, Dizzee Rascal, Karnivool, Peaches, The Temper Trap, Kasabian, Midnight Juggernauts, Rise Against, Magic Dirt, Mastodon, The Horrors, Bluejuice, Calvin Harris, Kisschasy, The Decemberists, Tame Impala and Girl Talk.
And a personal favourite of mine... Lisa Mitchell. She is stunning.
I'm putting bets on Kate Miller-Heidke and Vampire Weekend being in the 2nd or 3rd lineup announcements.. I'd die of excitement if SoKo was going to be performing.
Who's excited?! Who do you think will be in the second and third announcements?

ohh i saw the horrors at reading festival last month, they were fantastic!!
im going
if i dont i willl cry
:)
The only one I'd really want to see is Lily Allen but the rest of the lineup almost doesn't sound worth it :-(
I'll wait for the second and third announcements before I decide if it's worth paying all that money to go.
Wow - I am actually impressed by this lineup! I usually don't go because I need more than one act to encourage me to fork out the moolah and arrange buddies to go with.
I am actually considering getting some tickets :)
Muse and Rise Against, please! Yay!
im actually excited! muse, lilly allen, the horrors, ladyhawke, peaches yay peaches is awesome live! i was so upset i didnt get to make it to lisa mitchell's concert so yay!!
vampire weekend would be awesome. I wish the rumours about David Bowie were true thou, i mean, arrgghhh!
The lineup is kick-ass and I cannot wait to get there.
As for the David Bowie rumours, they had better be true man. Or else.
I am so going to shake my dick with Peaches!
I'm excited for this! Now I just need to scrounge up the money...but Powderfinger, Grinspoon, Eskimo Joe, Magic Dirt, Lily Allen, Peaches? I may have just died and gone to heaven.
Aw man, I totally forgot about SoKo! When I was in Paris last winter, we got stuck awake with jet lag a couple nights and ended up watching a bunch of this art-ish channel on tv, including an hour-long feature on SoKo. I was drunk and in love with her by the end of it, so I made my boyfriend draw her name really big on my arm and decided I wouldn't wash it off until I was able to find her music.
Haha, it came off the next day, I'm sure, but thanks for the new reminder!
I have seen most of those bands before, but I'd go for The Mars Volta and I'm crossing my fingers that Fever Ray will come to Australia!!!!
